About us

Sun Aviation Training (SAT) is a new training organization and as a sister company closely related to Sun Test Systems B.V. in The Netherlands. Our aim is:

  • to bring training on a basic and advanced level to local aviation markets and
  • to  improve the quality of existing maintenance training courses.

Better trained mechanics and engineers

Our company is established as a result of the increasing awareness of organizations of the need for better trained mechanics and engineers in order to safeguard and improve safety and reliability of aircraft fleets.

Long term relationships

SAT strives to establish long term relationships with its customers. This can only be achieved through a long term plan which at times will be changed and adjusted in accordance with lessons learned and with future developments and the changing environment in which people live.

Continuous improvement of skills

Sun Aviation Training  invests in its instructors and the students. This means that there will be, if needed, a continuous upgrading of learning courses and a perpetual improvement of the quality of mechanics and engineers.

Global for local training

We believe  that in order to create and maintain a long term relationships a local presence of SAT in designated countries is recommended. Local companies support us and our customers  in understanding better the training challenges and in optimizing our solutions.

Communication is crucial to understand your needs. We feel that by opening local offices in different countries we are much better placed to communicate with customers to reach the mutual goal of an ever improving learning environment for young and older people.

Professional management

Sun Aviation Training is managed by Peter Huis in ‘t Veld, a retired Luitenant colonel of the Royal Netherlands Air Force.

One of his responsibilities was to advise the military staff how to maximize the output of the military and the civilians in day to day  activities.. His last assignment in the services was Chief Maintenance Valley, Projects and International Cooperation. In this position Peter was responsible to establish partnerships between government, industry, education and research institutes on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Defence.

In 2009 Peter retired from the Air Force as a Lieutenant-colonel and he established the World Class Aviation Academy in 2010. Two years later the Rotary Wing Training Center was established in cooperation with Boeing. Nowadays many technicians of military CH-47 helicopters are trained in this facility.

Since April 1st 2013 Peter joined Sun Test Systems to establish Sun Aviation Training. With his knowledge and experience he is able to support all customers all over the world with their training needs and training requirements. Peter is part of a worldwide network of aviation workers and aviation lovers.
